He states that today’s versions, which are PSP 300 and PSP Go is getting older. It means Sony must replace it with the new one to maintain the Japanese manufacture in the game console’s market. The company also considers about other competitors that always try to shake the position of Sony with new products, such as Nintendo with 3DS platform that will be launched next year. The boss said that the new version of PSP would provide Touch Screen feature but still keep its manual control.
